New Website Launches on “Leadership Rockland Day”

New City, NY – Leadership Rockland is proud to announce the launch of a new web presence for the organization, coinciding with the first annual Leadership Rockland Day. The County of Rockland recognized Leadership Rockland on December 1, 2013 with a Proclamation by former County Executive C. Scott Vanderhoef, declaring the third Thursday of every January as “Leadership Rockland Day”.

Leadership Rockland, which is a program that offers existing and emerging leaders in government, business and non-profit sectors an educational experience focused on the infrastructure of Rockland County, New York, was in need of a brand that conveyed the quality of content, impact on participants and value of the program to the community.

The new brand lays the foundation for all future marketing initiatives to reach potential participants to the program and to keep alumni connected and informed, as well as to attract corporate sponsorship and donors.

Fully responsive across all desktop and mobile devices, the new website features an online application, a fully searchable alumni directory, an online evaluation form for current program participants, a blog, a robust calendar and social media integration. There is also a Featured Alumni section which highlights a new marketing campaign entitled “I am Leadership Rockland”. The first to be featured is Maria Luisa Whittingham (Class of 2010), a local retail entrepreneur who has recently been honored by Nyack College as a recipient of a Social Justice Award.

“Our emerging leaders are not satisfied with the status quo and wish to move toward improvement of all aspects of our community. And Leadership Rockland provides the vessel through which change can be fostered. That is all well and good. The new website will serve our mission and accommodate our goal through seamless communication within and beyond Leadership Rockland,” said Jan Degenshein, Chairman of the Board of Directors.

The brand identity development and website design were contributed pro bono by Liqui-Site Designs, Inc., a brand activation firm headquartered in Nyack, NY. The firm’s President and CRO, Kelly Campbell is a board member of Leadership Rockland as elected 2013 Class Representative.
